Meeting Summary

- The council is also expected to fill the District I seat on the St. Charles Parish Library Board of Control (2025-0048) at the March 10 meeting, following the expiration of Charlene Alexander-Armstrong's term.
- Parish President Jewell noted that construction within 1,500 feet of the Mississippi River levee must stop once the river reaches 12 feet, and that waivers have been requested to keep active projects going until the river reaches 15 feet, when all work must halt regardless. Residents should watch for possible work stoppages tied to river levels.
- Waterworks billing is processing usage from the January freeze in stages depending on account number, and residents who made repairs after a freeze-related leak were told to email [email protected] with proof of repair to request a leak adjustment.
- Councilwoman Wilson raised an unresolved parking conflict on Keller Street, where soccer game traffic blocks residential parking because the adjacent school does not open its lots; parish staff said they would look into coordinating access with the school system.
