Flood prevention, first. The Herald-Guide reported flood prevention as Mobley's number one priority, and the reason was under his own roof: his house has flooded three times over the decades.
A condition on new development. He drew a line that was his alone to draw as a councilman, promising not to vote for future development unless an absolute drainage plan accompanied each one.
Schools. He set an unusually specific target, which the Herald-Guide reported as moving St. Charles Parish Public Schools from number six in the state to number one. The ambition behind it he put plainly: he wants St. Charles to be "the greatest parish in the state of Louisiana."
The Des Allemands boat launch. A West Bank boat launch had sat on the parish projects list for years without being finished. He committed to seeing it done.
Mobley won a contested race for the open at-large seat in October 2023.
