Parish Council member Michelle O'Daniels, who represents District V, will host a listening session and drainage workshop for St. Rose residents on Thursday, October 8, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the St. Rose Branch Library, 90 East Club Drive.

The program includes a presentation from the Pontchartrain Conservancy on its work gathering flooding data across the area, an introduction to the Flood Watcher program, and updates on current drainage projects in St. Rose.

It also covers how to prepare for heavy rainstorms and why reporting water intrusion matters. Residents will hear a neighbor's report on flooding challenges, then break into sessions by neighborhood to document flooding concerns.

The flyer for the event, headed "Stop Our Flooding Too!", invites residents to "be a part of the movement to advocate for drainage in St. Rose."
